Canton Tower: The highest tower in China

Canton Tower, also known as the Guangzhou New TV Tower and affectionately nicknamed the “Slim Lady,” is one of Guangzhou’s most recognizable landmarks. It stands near Chigang Tower in Haizhu District on Yizhou Island, about 125 meters from the southern bank of the Pearl River and the Pearl River New Town. Across the river are Huacheng Square and Haixinsha Island.

The main tower rises to 454 meters, while its 146-meter antenna mast brings the total height to 600 meters. It ranks just behind Tokyo Skytree in overall height and is classified as a AAAA-rated tourist attraction.

Ferris Wheel

Situated at an elevation of 455 meters near the top of the tower, the Ferris wheel is recognized as the world's highest horizontal Ferris wheel. It features 16 transparent “Crystal” sightseeing cabins, with each complete rotation taking approximately 20 minutes.

Thrilling Journey – Speed Cloud

On May 22, 2013, the Guinness World Records Committee officially recognized this attraction as a new world record. It remains one of the highest thrilling rides of its kind.

The Speed Cloud is positioned on the antenna mast of Canton Tower between approximately 450 and 485 meters above the ground. Four sets of seats are arranged in different directions, with both standing-style and seated downhill experiences available. Each group of seats can accommodate up to four visitors.

The descent takes place at an altitude approaching 500 meters, offering an intense experience that challenges visitors to push beyond their usual limits.

The World's Longest Spiral Air Ladder – Sky Ladder

Suspended within the colorful “Rainbow” section of the tower, the world's longest spiral sky ladder, known as the Spider-Man Plank Road, allows visitors to explore Canton Tower from a completely different perspective.
